Hi,

As you would all have heard by now there has been a COVID outbreak in Queensland which was announced late yesterday by the Premier and Chief Health Officer which has been traced back to a truck driver who returned to Queensland from interstate around a week ago. At this stage the extent of the outbreak is still uncertain however the State Government after consulting with the Chief Health Officer have only locked down aged care homes in the Logan area as of today.

Given it is Father’s day tomorrow we want to do all we can to enable those wishing to spend time with their loved ones to do so. As such, tomorrow we will be re-opening visits for family members and friends of our residents provided they do not live in and have not visited any of the exposure sites or suburbs identified by the Queensland Government in the last week. These areas are:

  • Beenleigh
  • Mount Warren Park
  • Archerfield

Of course the above is subject to any further announcements made on Sunday morning by the Queensland Government and the Chief Health Officer.

There will be extra precautions being taken at both our Melody Park and Victoria Point sites tomorrow and we therefore ask for your patience as we ensure that we do all we can to keep those we are entrusted to care for as safe as possible.

Thank you for your assistance and understanding at this time.

Yours sincerely

Eric Anderson
