To Families and Residents

We have been advised that the Queensland State Government will today allow the current Public Health Emergency to end. As a result the current directions in place for persons working and visiting Aged Care homes will also come to an end including the need to wear a face mask.

As such we are also changing our requirements for visitors with all restrictions to be lifted, including the wearing of a face mask (unless the person chooses to do so of their own free will) and the need to complete a RAT prior to entering the aged care home. These changes will take effect from Tuesday the 1st of November.

There will however still be a need for all visitors to check-in including the recording of their temperature as has been the case in the past. The process will now be far simpler with only the recording of your temperature and confirming that you are not unwell and or do not have flu like symptoms and that you are not awaiting the result of a PCR test.

Also from tomorrow the common areas including lounge rooms and the Café will now be available to residents and their visitors to utilise.

We thank you for your willingness to support us in keeping our residents safe over the last 2-3 years.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss the above please contact our Facility Manager at the site in question.

Yours sincerely
